Who is MCWH
The Multicultural Centre for Women’s Health is an immigrant women’s organisation committed to improving the health and wellbeing of immigrant women in paid and unpaid employment across Australia.
They provide national leadership and excellence in multilingual health education, advocacy, training, and research with specific expertise in sexual, reproductive, occupational and mental health.
MCWH Industry visits
Multicultural Centre for Women's Health has been conducting Industry Visits since 1978. The Industry Visits Program (IVP) runs health information sessions for women in the workplace. These visits are conducted by Multicultural Centre for Women's Health's bilingual Community Health Educators, who are trained to discuss sensitive women's issues in a non-threatening and safe environment.
When and where are Visits held?
Visits usually take place in women's workplaces during their lunch breaks. They offer five to six sessions at each workplace and can be very flexible depending on the needs identified by the workplace.
