The Event
The “Export Expo – Melbourne’s North” has been specifically created to showcase our regions exporters and to provide new business opportunities to assist with growth and the sustainability of our manufacturing sector.
This event is being jointly organised by The Speakers Office, Plenty Food Group, NORTH Link, Regional Development Victoria and La Trobe University.
The Export Expo will have 79 exhibitors made up of 32 food exhibitors, with the remainder made up of a range of other manufacturers and educational providers that offer export services and products.
National and international buyers will be invited, as well as international representation with Trade Commissioners, Ambassadors and diplomatic representatives. Senior staff from Austrade will also be in attendance to learn about your product and business and possibly find new opportunities for you.
You also have the opportunity to invite your own guests or buyers, who will receive an official invite from The Speakers Office, Harry Jenkins MP, Federal Member for Scullin, Speaker of the House of Representatives.
There will be media in attendance and it is important to note this event is by invite only and is not open to the public.

Invitation Nominations

All exhibitors are encouraged to invite guests to attend the event. Ideally these would be industry associated people that would benefit your business and who may also gain benefit in meeting other exhibitors.

Exhibition Space Details
- Each exhibitor has approximately 4 square metres space to exhibit.
- Each space has one 1.8m table, chairs and table cloth.
- There is room for self standing banners (recommended).
- If you have special needs, these will be looked after to the best of our abilities.
- Union Hall has full commercial kitchen facilities, if you have need for product to be cooked, heated or chilled to showcase, you must notify us.
- There is a limited opportunity to have power in the stand spaces, if you require power you must notify us.
Cost
There is no cost to exhibit, but your company must be export ready. We are intending to cater the event with donated exhibitors product.
Catering
The Plenty Food Group is co-ordinating the catering for the event and working with La Trobe University. Our intention is to utilise exhibitors’ product to cater for exhibitors and guests. The product will need to be collected on Wednesday 3 August or delivered to Union Hall at La Trobe University on Friday 5 August 2010.

Set Up / Pack Down Times
Set up: 10.00am to 5.00pm Friday 6 August and 9.00am to 4.00pm Monday 9 August
Event Time: 5.00pm to 7.30pm Monday 9 August
Pack Down: 8.00pm to 11.00pm Monday 9 August
Vehicle Access / Car Parking
Car Parking
Car parking for guests and exhibitors is available in Car Park 3 accessible from Waterdale Road. There will be a marked path to lead you from the car park to the exhibition in Union Hall.
Exhibitor Loading Area
Exhibitors will have a 10 minute allowance for drop off and pick up with in the set up and pack down times in front of Union Hall. To gain access you must enter via the Gatehouse and then follow Moat Drive (one way during this event) to Union Hall.
Once unloading has been completed, you will need to continue along Moat Drive and turn right into College Drive, proceed back to the Gatehouse, follow Ring Road to Waterdale Road and park in Car Park 3.
For pedestrian safety, vehicles will not be allowed access back through the Gatehouse for approximately 30 minutes after the expo has finished.
VIP Drop Off
There will be a two minute drop off/pick up zone in front of Union Hall. To gain access you must be registered, then enter via the Gatehouse and then follow Moat Drive (one way during this event) to Union Hall.
Once guests have been dropped off, you will need to continue along Moat Drive and turn right into College Drive, proceed back to the Gatehouse, follow Ring Road to Waterdale Road and park in Car Park 3.
